Kam’s Growers Supply is pleased to announce that it is set up to custom converting Phormium mushroom bed nets for distribution to Canadian mushroom growers. Kam’s will also be supplying compost mats for mushroom composting facilities, giving growers a local supplier. Mushroom growing nets are used to mechanically fill and remove compost onto/from beds. The Kam’s location in Guelph Ontario has installed the equipment to cut and finish mats on site and can now supply them on demand to meet the specific requirements of their mushroom customers. Finishing is done at Kam’s and is tailor-made with seams and loops.
Phormium, based in Belgium, has been a global leader in the field of premium growing nets and compost mats for over 30 years. They are a well-known European producer of innovative screens and ground covers developed for agriculture and horticulture industries for applications such as greenhouse climate control, water distribution, weed control and mushroom growing. “Our collaboration with Kam’s is unique in that Kam’s has installed a local finishing unit at their facility.
